A Dao Zhou thing.
In 2019, several things I had followed for years reached their endings at almost the same time. The Big Bang Theory and Arrow both came to a close, while the first three phases of the Marvel films concluded a story ten years in the making. Looking back, each of them had been part of our lives for nearly a decade.
It is easy to begin something on a burst of enthusiasm. The difficult part is making room for it in your life and returning to it year after year. To keep anything going for ten years is an achievement worth admiring.
I first tried my hand at building a website in 2007, and first picked up a camera in earnest in 2010. Had I stayed with both, perhaps this site would be more accomplished by now, and perhaps I would be a better photographer. But time offers no second drafts. As I grow older, I understand more clearly the value of the years I let slip by.
So I will make no grand promises. I simply want to keep this pursuit—and this website—going. In another ten years, I hope to look back and see what they have become.

2019 年，有几件事恰好都走到了句点。《生活大爆炸》和《绿箭侠》相继收尾，漫威电影铺陈十年的前三个阶段也告一段落。回头一看，它们都陪人走过了差不多十年。
一时兴起并不难。难的是把一件事放进生活里，年复一年地做下去。能坚持十年，已经很值得钦佩。
2007 年第一次动手做网站，2010 年第一次认真拿起相机。若当时一路做下来，也许如今网站会更像样，照片也会拍得更好。可时间没有如果。年纪渐长，才越来越明白，那些被随手放过的年月究竟有多可惜。
所以不说大话了。只想把这个爱好和这个网站继续做下去。再过十年，回头看看它们长成了什么样子。
